As Director Scheduling & Social Crew Management you will join a dynamic and fast paced international role. You are responsible for translating the TUI fly Benelux strategy into clear objectives and KPIs for your area of responsibility. This includes the Crew Scheduling and Social Crew Management teams and activities across the Belgian and Dutch airline, covering approx. 2.500 employees. You will deliver a strategy that contributes to the TUI Western Region KPIs: Employee Engagement, EBITA and Net Promotor Score. Moreover, as member of the TUI fly Benelux Management Committee, you have a key role in information sharing across all departments and in improving collaboration across the organisation.

You are responsible for activities and teams of Crew Scheduling and Social Crew Management. On the one hand you will ensure the delivery of cost efficient and effective operations. On the other hand you will identify improvement opportunities and drive improvement projects via effective change and transformation management. You will coach your direct reports in order to further develop their teams as efficiently as possible, to ensure optimal employee and system performance and to deliver projects and operations that meet and where possible exceed the minimum requirements. You will encourage a culture where people can constructively challenge the standard, looking for ways to do things better, faster and cheaper.

In the end you will ensure to deliver customer friendly operations, cost efficiency, performance management and engagement amongst the scheduling team and crew of TUI fly Benelux. This includes aiming for operational excellence and for a stable social climate amongst ground staff and crew. You will monitor the operational performance and efficiency within your areas of responsibility and you will identify new technologies and methodologies to continually improve the ways of working. You will present proposals to the TUI fly Benelux Management Committee and drive the change and transformation projects to deliver the identified initiatives. You will assess the impact of new initiatives from an efficiency, process and risk perspective while effectively maintaining and controlling your budget.

In this role you will report to the Managing Director of TUI fly Benelux.

• Significant leadership experience in a large, geographically spread, customer facing, operational environment;

• Enthusiasm to continuously challenge status quo and to identify the right improvement opportunities at the right time;
• Extensive (digital) change and transformation skills and ability to convince and motivate people;
• Ability to operate with multiple business customers and manage key stakeholders;
• An effective communicator with the proven ability to influence others, develop a strong network of contacts and gain support and commitment from line managers.
